2007-08 Undergraduate Scholarship Recipients Announced

The School of Art is grateful for the many benefactors who have generously established scholarship endowments to support student scholarship and excellence. To see a complete list of the scholarship endowments which generate the annual scholarships, click here.

Recipients of Sue & John Lott Regents Endowed Scholarships are:
LAUREN BOLDON CHIZINSKI, a senior from Sugarland majoring in Studio Art with emphases in Photography and Sculpture.
AMANDA CYPERT, a senior from Tulia majoring in Communication Design.
KATHRYN FLANAGAN, from Wolfforth, who will be transferring in from South Plains College this fall to major in Visual Studies with emphases in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing and Painting.
RACHEL TRAPP, an incoming freshman from Albuquerque, NM, who will be majoring in Studio Art with an emphasis in Ceramics.  She is also recipient of a Helen Jones Foundation Scholarship from a 2007 grant administered through the College of Visual & Performing Arts.

Recipients of Helen Jones Foundation Scholarships from a 2007 grant administered through the College of Visual & Performing Arts are as follows.
MEGAN DANIEL, an incoming freshman from Coppell who will be applying into the Communication Design program.
CYNTHIA GARCIA, a junior from Lubbock majoring in Communication Design.
LAURA JENNINGS, a junior from Kempner who will be entering the Communication Design program.
CHISUM JUSTUS, a senior from Lubbock who will be a Studio Art major with an emphasis in Painting.
RENE ROCHA, a senior from Lubbock majoring in Visual Studies.
PATRICK SCHNEIDER, a senior from Austin double-majoring in Visual Studies and Studio Art with an emphasis in Painting.

EMILY CARTER, an incoming freshman from Allen, who will be majoring in Studio Art with an emphasis in painting, will receive the Paul T. & Delilah Roch Endowed Scholarship.

RACHAEL FULLERTON, a senior from Lubbock majoring in Studio Art with an emphasis in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing will receive the Charles M. Pijan Memorial Endowed Scholarship.  She is also recipient of a Helen Jones Foundation Scholarship from a 2007 grant administered through the College of Visual & Performing Arts.

MEGAN GRUBB, a junior from Austin, who will be entering the Communication Design program, will receive the Captain Paul E. Marion Endowed Art Scholarship.

IYLANA PUTNAM, a junior from Lubbock, who will be entering the Communication Design program, will receive the Cheatham/Howze Drawing Scholarship.

EMILY THURMAN, a senior from Dallas majoring in Visual Studies will receive the W. Reid Hastie Memorial Endowed Scholarship.

ANDREW CLELAND, a freshman from Carolton majoring in Undeclared Art will receive the Art Memorial Scholarship.

EMILY CARTER, a freshman from Allen majoring in Undeclared Art will receive the Art Memorial Scholarship.
