Alumni Notes [Fall 2009]
RYDER RICHARDS (2001 BFA Painting) and SUE ANNE RISCHE (1994 BFA Jewelry & Metals) got “kick-ass jobs!” at the end of summer and relocated from Lubbock into the DFW area. Sue Anne teaches Art Appreciation at Collin County Community College, and Ryder is full time Gallery Coordinator and Art Instructor at Richland College
JONATHAN WHITFILL (2006 MFA Sculpture/Printmaking, Lubbock) has had two artworks juried into the Book Art International Juried Exhibition, to be presented at Art Vitam, Galerie Europ'Art Aigues Mortes, France in October-November. Fairfax Dorn, Director of Ballroom Marfa has juried his work into the Third Coast National National Juried Exhibition to be presented at K Space Contemporary in Corpus Christi, Texas in October-November. He will be a participating artist in Third times the charm being presented by Ryder Jon Piotrs Nomadic Gallery in conjunction with Waypoint Gallery: Marfa, Texas in October. [link Ryder Jon Piotrs Nomadic Gallery to the previously published story on their project.] has been invited to be Visiting Artist in Residence creating an outdoor sculpture and having a solo exhibition at Northern State Univeristy, Aberdeen, South Dakota in September 2010.
