Junction Summer Program
Texas Tech's campus at Junction, TX offers an extraordinary educational experience for MAE, MFA and BFA students. On its 400 acre wooded campus, students become entirely immersed in their creative discipline. Meals are provided, recreation includes a pool and a beautiful river, and students can direct their full attention to exploring art from the perspective of an educator or a studio artist. Among the excellent facilities are a well-equipped computer lab, ceramics and glass facilities, jewelry lab, studios for painting, drawing and printmaking, and classrooms with a view of the local wildlife. The summer art community is focused on developing a deeper, more meaningful relationship to the arts through production, critique, discussion and open exchange.
MFA students should contact Ryan Scheckel (806)-742-3825 X222 or Karen Lopez (325) 446-2301 or (806) 742-6434 for assistance.
MAE students are encouraged to take a minimum of three graduate credits per summer to stay on a timely graduation plan. MAE seeking advising with degree plans may contact Future Akins-Tillett MAE Coordinator by e-mail or at or 806.742.3825 x 257. Click here to download MA E Application Packet.
