Medici Circle – Supporters of the School of Art
In 2005, School of Art looked into the future and identified the areas which need the most support. At the top of the list is Student Scholarships. To meet the need, friends of Art, alumni, community leaders, and local artists came together to form the Medici Circle – Supporters of the School of Art. Our mission is to financially support and promote the School of Art, to raise scholarship funds for students enrolled in its programs and to raise awareness about its programs, activities and successes.
With monies collected from annual membership dues and with funds raised during the annual 5x7 Art Scholarship Fundraiser, Medici Circle has been instrumental in supporting initial funding of new scholarship endowments whose total value now exceeds $150,000. These endowments are starting to support young artists and scholars, and will continue to do so in perpetuity.
