School of Art Academic Advisor
Kristy Kristinek received her BFA and MFA in studio art from the School of Art and she was recipient of a Spring 2015 Graduate Excellence in Teaching Award.
To support its students in reaching their educational goals, the School of Art (ART) employs a blended academic advising model that offers the best of both professional academic advising and faculty mentoring. All students are required to meet with the ART Academic Advisor, Kristy Kristinek, each semester prior to advance registration to review their degree progress, discuss schedule planning, and address any questions or concerns student may have in their educational experience.
Additionally, students who have been admitted to declared programs/emphasis areas must also meet with a Faculty Mentor for guidance on course selection and students’ development as an artist, professional, or educator.
