Organization of the CASNR Water Center
The Dean of the College is the designated Director of the Water Center. The Center has an Associate Director, whose role is to coordinate, promote, assist, and perform administrative functions related to the mission of the Center. The Associate Director is the administrator of the Center and reports to the Dean of the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Since the Center functions in conjunction with the academic departments, the Associate Director communicates and coordinates with Faculty Associates conducting water research and outreach activities, all of whom are members of academic departments, through an internal Working Group, consisting of a faculty representative from each department, and the Department Chairs.
The Center has an Advisory Committee with representatives from external stakeholder groups. The Advisory Committee periodically meets with representatives of the Center (the Dean, Associate Director, Department Chairs, Working Group, Faculty Associates) to review activities in which the Center is engaged, provide advice, and assist with strategic planning.
