4/22/2024: We will be temporarily relocating for at least 5-6 weeks due to needed building maintenance. We will be closed 5/8/24-5/10/24, and will reopen 5/13/24 in a temporary location in the Department of Psychological Sciences at 2810 18th Street, Room 111A. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION ON THE RELOCATION. During this temporary relocation, our therapy services primarily will be via telehealth. We currently have availability for individual adult and child therapy clients! Call us for completing initial pre-screening questions and for scheduling the phone screening. Wait times for LD, ADHD, and IQ assessments are approximately 1-3 months. Our waitlist for general psychological assessments is currently closed.

The Psychology Clinic is a training and research center that provides psychotherapy and assessment services to the University, Lubbock, and neighboring communities. The clinic is housed in and operated by the Department of Psychological Sciences and is the primary training facility for graduate students in the Counseling and Clinical Psychology Ph.D. programs at Texas Tech University. The clinic is staffed by advanced doctoral students under the supervision of Ph.D. psychologists who are faculty members in the Clinical and Counseling Psychology programs. Both of these programs are accredited by the American Psychological Association (APA Office of Program Consultation and Accreditation, 750 First Street, NE, Washington, DC 20002-4242; 202-336-5979). The Psychology Clinic strives to offer high quality and cost-efficient services to our clients. We value and respect the multiple identities and communities with whom we work. Services are confidential and personalized to meet the particular need of each client. The director of the clinic is Dr. Megan Thoen, who is a licensed psychologist and Texas Tech alum.
