Fellow Techsans, First off, welcome home to Raiderland! Please know that from the moment you first set foot on campus, you became an important part of our Red Raider family and we are so happy to have you here. Whether you are a freshman just starting your college career, a senior getting ready to graduate, or a graduate student continuing your education, we are all part of the same Texas Tech community. There has never been a more exciting time to be at Texas Tech! We are developing leading academic programs, building world class facilities, raising more money for scholarships, and of course, competing in the best conference for NCAA athletics. Time and time again we are proving that from here, ANYTHING is possible and we hope that you will experience this first hand. We at the Student Government Association are energized about this year that lie ahead as we continue to help push our university to make sure that it is the most student friendly campus in the nation, as well as developing, not only students of academic quality, but well rounded individuals. SGA has set some lofty goals for this next year, including: creating more need and merit based scholarships, pushing for Fall Break to be more than just a one year trial, and making sure that we are getting the best and the brightest students to come to Texas Tech University, so that the Red Raider family continues to grow in numbers and prestige. I am honored to have this privilege of serving you this year as your President. If you ever need anything from your Student Government Association, please let us know. We are here to serve you. Strive for Honor! |
