New Graduate Student Welcome Reception
When: 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm September 2nd, 2009
Where: Frazier Alumni Pavillion
New Graduate students are often at a disadvantage when it comes to finding their way around Texas Tech, and knowing the many services this school has to offer. To remedy this, the Student Government Association is hosting an reception for all new graduate students. It is aimed towards
- Acquainting new graduate students with the university, our diverse campus, inform them about all the opportunities available to them, talk about Tech traditions,
- Giving them the opportunity to meet the Chancellor, The President of Tech, Vice President of Student Affairs, Graduate School Dean and staff, Student Health Services, University Career Services, the Student Regent and Student Leaders of SGA. They can get information on scholarship opportunities, deadlines , expectations, requirements, professional development services, conference travel funding, and the annual research poster competition
- Top priority is to make them feel at home and welcome them to Tech. This would also be a wonderful opportunity to interact with other new and continuing graduate students.
All the new and transferred graduate students are invited and requested to attend the event. Any questions can be directed to Rahul Kanungoe at the SGA office, 742-3631.
See you all there!
