Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics

Welcome to Texas Tech University's Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics. The department is home to approximately 350 undergraduate students and 54 graduate students. It is housed in one of the original buildings on campus, with the department having been founded in 1927. Agricultural and Applied Economics delivers an integrated program of teaching, research, and service that considers state, national and international dimensions.

Many of our faculty members are leading researchers in their respective fields, including agricultural competitiveness, cotton economics, water conservation, risk management, and business management.
