Enrollment steps:
Those interested in the Doctorate of Education (Ed.D.) in Educational Leadership should follow the instructions in the Doctor of Education Program Handbook
All Computer Science and Software Engineering applicants should complete each step unless noted otherwise:
- Apply
to and be accepted by Texas Tech University
Graduate School
- Fill out application at www.ApplyTexas.org - have info sent to Texas Tech University
- If you declare GTMP (Graduate Temporary) status, you may not recieve financial aid
- Certificate of Software Engineering applicants should declare GRCT (Graduate Certificate) status and will NOT be required to submit GRE/TOEFEL
- Pay application fee
- Take the Graduate Record Exam (GRE) (TOEFEL is an option for International Students) and have results sent to Texas Tech University (GTMP and GCRT applicants not required to submit GRE/TOEFEL)
- Submit transcripts
- Fill out application at www.ApplyTexas.org - have info sent to Texas Tech University
- Fill out the FAFSA and submit information to Texas Tech University: http://www.fafsa.ed.gov/ (GTMP & GRCT students are not required to submit FAFSA)
- Fill out and submit the Statement of Purpose to the Computer Science Graduate Advisor AND submit a copy to Texas Tech University at Abilene, 302 Pine Street, Abilene, TX 79601
- Print out three Letter of Recommendation Forms and have them submitted to the Computer Science Graduate Advisor
- Fill out and submit the Application for Graduate Financial Support to the Computer Science Graduate Advisor AND submit a copy to Texas Tech University at Abilene, 302 Pine Street, Abilene, TX 79601
- Submitting a resume and cover letter are recommended, but optional
- Set up an appointment to talk to the Associate Chair in Abilene to discover what leveling courses may be required and what courses should be taken first. Please bring a copy of your transcripts to this advising meeting.
