PreLaw Program October Roundtable: Personal Statement Workshop
The Personal Statement is a very important part of the law school application. However, many students have a difficult time knowing how to compose it properly. Since the Personal Statement is a law school's only opportunity to see more of you than test scores and transcripts, it is important to make a good impression. Come learn from the experts about how to make your personal statement the best it can be. Invited panel members will include:
- Aperna Sherman, Former Law School Admissions Council member, TTU School of Law Librarian
- Kathleen Gillis, Director of TTU Writing Center
- Jay Killough, Director of University Career Services
- Vickie Sutton, Professor, TTU School of Law, Former Law School Admissions Council member
This roundtable will be different from past roundtables in that it will be a very hands on workshop. If you have a draft of your personal statement, this would be a great opportunity to bring a copy (or 2 or 3) and get feedback from the pros. If you haven't started your personal statement yet, don't worry, this will be a great first step in the right direction for you as well!
