Texas Tech University

Visual and Performing Arts Banner

Your degree will help you make the world a more beautiful place.

Your creativity drives your goals. Maybe you have an eye for taking a great photograph or an ear for composing beautiful music. Combine your interest in the arts with business, science or teaching. Become a performer, designer, manager or teacher.

Why Tech?

The preparation you receive will jump-start your career, like Scott Dadich, BFA/Art, 1999, who landed the job of Associate Art Director for Texas Monthly magazine at age 24 and is now producing content for Netflix. And David Gaschen, BA/Vocal Performance, 1993, whose musical theatre career took him from Lubbock to Chicago, Switzerland and Germany before he received an invitation to perform in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.

The professors gave the extra time and effort to see that my energies were pointed in a positive direction."

- Scott Dadich - Creator, Abstract: The Art of Design (Netflix)
