What is your advising philosophy?
I aim to leave students better than I found them. By the time an advising session has concluded, I want students to leave my office feeling better than when they walked in. I combine empathetic, active listening with direct and rational feedback to help students make informed choices for themselves. Above all, I want to motivate students to be the best versions of themselves because I believe that life too short to be complacent.
What do you enjoy about working with PreLaw students?
TTU PreLaw students are among the hardest working students with whom I have ever worked. I admire their perseverance and eagerness to make sacrifices in pursuit of their life goals. My PreLaw students remind me to live life to its fullest and face every challenge with aplomb.
What is your greatest piece of advice for any student?
