College of Architecture
College GPA Requirements: None

Pre-requisites a student must complete before transferring into this college/major:
First year Architecture courses are open to all students. Students interested in applying to the architecture program must take the first year architecture courses (ARCH 1311, 1341, 1412, 1353) and then submit an application during the Spring semester which includes:
- A Personal essay
- An Architecture Portfolio
- GPA using Architecture courses only

Major Specific GPA Requirements:
- Energy Commerce: 3.4 GPA
- International Business: 3.0 GPA
Pre-requisites a student must complete before transferring into this college/major:
- 12 hours of courses in residence at Texas Tech University with at least a 2.75 GPA
- Accounting: Grade of B or higher on student's first attempt in ACCT 2300, 2301 and 3304.
- Finance: Grade of B or higher on student's first attempt in ACCT 2300 and FIN 3320.
- International Business: 3 semesters of the same foreign language completed in lower division curriculum.

- Mechanical Engineering: Complete MATH 1351, CHEM 1307, CHEM 1107 and PHYS 1408 with a C or better.
- Petroleum Engineering: Complete MATH 1351 and 1352; CHEM 1307 and 1107; ENGL 1301 and 1302 and PHYS 1408 with a C or better.

- Bachelor of Arts Degree in Arts and Letters (must apply to Honors College)
- Bachelor of Arts Degree in Natural History and Humanities (not required to apply to Honors College)

Arts and Sciences Undecided: Students who are uncertain about what major to declare may choose to be Arts and Sciences Undecided to engage in proactive exploration with the advisors in University Advising.
Pre-Law: Students wishing to attend Law school may choose PLAW as their designation until they find a best-fit major to help them get to Law school.
PreEngineering: Students wishing to study Engineering at Texas Tech who are not yet ready to enroll in Calculus 1 (MATH 1351) will change their major to PREN.
