Mario Reyes is a Pre-Law ambassador majoring in accounting at Texas Tech University. Mario is also the team captain of his mock trial team that competes every year through the American Mock Trial Association, as well as a Community Advisor, and part of the Rawls College of Business Student Business Council. Post graduation, Mario plans to attend law school and eventually practice law. While corporate law is Mario's first choice, he believes that at some point in his career he wants to litigate in open court.
Born in San Salvador, El Salvador, Mario has been exposed to different areas of the world. Through his active role as a Community Advisor, Mario is responsible to guide and mentor his residents through their conflicts and hardships. Also, he attempts to use the same philosophy while leading his mock trial team to competition.
While Mario is heavily involved in different law organizations on campus, he is also passionate about his involvement with the Rawls College of Business. Mario just recently joined the Student Business Council at the Rawls College of Business. His involvement includes helping students find jobs for post graduation. Moreover, he must help with different events that are hosted by the college to facilitate students find jobs.
Mario has been a prelaw ambassador for a full academic year. As a Pre Law ambassador, Mario is interested in sharing his passion and knowledge for the law with others who equally share that passion. His role is to educate students interested in pursuing a J.D. Specifically; his job is to help students understand the process on how to apply to law school. Mario's favorite part about being a Pre Law Ambassador is that he gets a chance to network with law schools, and colleagues.
