Our Services

The purpose of AFISM is to lead the facilitation and coordination of technology issues to ensure that Administration and Finance (A&F) departments (Budget, Business Affairs, Financial Affairs, Human Resources, and Quality Service & Professional Development) receive the best service at the lowest cost.  The following services are provided to avoid duplication, to achieve economies of scale, and to relieve burdensome efforts of resolving technology issues.

Technical Support for A&F  Departments Limited service to campus clients of A&F

  •         Procurement of hardware /software – Help construct IT budget for A&F Division

  •         Helpdesk to “triage” efficiently functional and technical issues to correct entities (i.e. A&F Functional departments, AFISM, Systems IS, and TTU IT)

  •          Desktop services – In coordination with TTU’s Helpdesk,  including installation of software, installation & maintenance of hardware, training & security of desktops Virus & intrusion detection & prevention for the LAN using email virus scanners & development & maintenance of an internal firewall
Banner System Functional Support for A&F Departments Limited service to clients of A&F

  •         Coordination with Systems IS and A&F units for installation to new releases (upgrades)

  •          Testing of TCC modifications applied to new releases

  •          Develop documentation for new releases

  •          Provide appropriate training for new releases

  •          Distribution of product documentation from Sungard

  •          In coordination with other A&F units, develop HRIS & FIS data dictionaries

  •          Administering access to TTU Banner computer systems (FIS, HRIS, and Data Warehouses)
Data Warehouse and Data Marts of A&F Departments Limited service to clients of A&F

Data Warehousing Products

  •          HRIS Data Store

  •          FIS Data Store

  •          Any other specialized data marts (i.e. Budget reporting)

  •          Decision Support Services

  •          Training for TTU reporting/query tool(s)
Web Assistance and Development for A&F Departments Limited service to clients of A&F

Web Services

  •          Manage several centralized web sites

  •          Maintain A&F’s different web applications (i.e. HR)
