Texas Tech University has begun the implementation of Banner. Banner will help the university to standardize policies and procedures, implement best practices, and improve availability and quality of service by replacing legacy computer systems.
Banner implementation will improve information access and management for students, faculty, and administrators. Among the key objectives of implementation are providing superior service to students and faculty; automating administrative solutions; augmenting reporting capacities; providing up-to-date decision-making support; enhancing the professional culture of the institution. The end result of this project is a more effective, efficient, and productive university.
Banner is a campus ERP system using proven and scalable technologies. It has been successfully implemented in many colleges and universities worldwide. For individuals, it means simplified information access and management. For the institution, it means a comprehensive administrative computing system that addresses our current and long-term needs.
