SciQuest/TechBuy
SciQuest Higher Markets, a shopping mechanism, has been purchased and will be used jointly by Texas Tech University System, Texas Tech University and Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and has been named TechBuy. We join twenty other higher education customers implementing or integrating SciQuest with SunGard Banner Finance.
TechBuy will allow end-users to shop via hosted catalogs and punch-out vendors (i.e. Staples, Fisher, etc.) and will allow for one shopping cart to create a requisition and breakout to multiple purchase orders. The hosted catalogs will provide online comparison shopping. Forms or Non-Catalog orders will be used for purchases not available via hosted catalogs and punch-out vendors.

TechBid
The TTU Purchasing and Contracting office, in conjunction with TTUHSC have implemented TechBid, an electronic bid process. TechBid will allow vendors to register and access procurement opportunities electronically. Registered vendors are able to access, respond to, or view the results of bids and other competitive solicitations. Purchasing and Contracting has started notifying potential vendors with registration instructions.
