SciQuest
Texas Tech University System has purchased SciQuest Higher Markets to replace the current electronic requisition/purchase order (e-RQ, e-PO) systems. SciQuest will provide online comparison shopping via catalog and Business to Business (Dell, Fisher, etc.) Higher Markets will also allow for one shopping cart to breakout to multiple requisitions and/or purchase orders. SciQuest now has twenty higher education customers implementing or integrating with SunGard Banner Finance. The two companies work closely during the integration process in addition to providing version control to support future Banner upgrades.
The SciQuest implementation will be processed in two phases. The first phase will have limited vendors and is projected to be in place this fall. The second phase will provide all of SciQuest’s functionality and will be available in the spring of 2008 for RQ/PO entry in Banner for FY09 orders.
TechBuy
TechBuy is the shopping mechanism that will allow end-users to shop via hosted catalogs and punch-out vendors (i.e. Dell, Fisher, etc.) and will allow for one shopping cart to breakout to multiple requisitions and/or purchase orders. The hosted catalogs will provide online comparison shopping. TechBuy will be implemented in two phases in coordination with the implementation of Banner Finance in September, 2008.
