CAPTAIN DARIN L. ROSE

Captain Darin L. Rose is Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 820, Texas Tech University, Lubbock Texas.

Captain Rose served over eight years as an electronics technician in the Navy before crossing into the blue. During his service he was stationed on the USS Jarrett (FFG-33) and USS Crommelin (FFG-37), two Guided Missile Fast Frigates, and at Naval Magazine Pearl Harbor. Captain Rose attended Hawaii Pacific University while on active duty and commissioned through the Air Force Officer Training School in September 2001.

In October 2001, Captain Rose was assigned to HQ Air Force Research Laboratory. He assumed duties as the project officer for various human resources efforts. Upon promotion to 1st Lieutenant, he assumed the duties as the program manager for the labs Enterprise Business Solution software suite.

In September 2004, Captain Rose was assigned 327th Bomber and Cruise Missile Sustainment Group, where he performed duties as cruise missile guidance system software manager. He then served as the lead on the Commander’s Action Group and completed his tour as the weapons integration section chief for the B-52 Bomber.

In July 2008, Captain Rose was assigned to Air Force ROTC, DET 820 at Texas Tech University as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies.
