
CAPTAIN WENDELL R. TONEY
Captain Wendell Toney is Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies, Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps, Detachment 820, Texas Tech University, Lubbock, Texas. Captain Toney served over fourteen years as an Air Force enlisted Civil Engineer where he deployed in support of several operations to include Operation Desert Shield/Storm. During his enlisted service he completed a Bachelors degree and earned a commission as an Acquisition Officer through the Air Force Officer Training School in September 2002.
As an Acquisition Officer, Capt Toney was initially assigned to Brooks City Base in San Antonio, Texas working on Aeromedical Evacuation Equipment. He then moved to Eglin Air Force Base in Ft Walton Beach, Florida where he served as Director of Operations on the Joint Air-to-Service Standoff Missile Extended Range program. In May 2009, Captain Toney was assigned to Air Force ROTC, DET 820 at Texas Tech University as an Assistant Professor of Aerospace Studies.
