Youth Beef 706 Program

Topics, Demonstrations and Tours Include: Food Safety Issues in the Beef Industry, Live Cattle Evaluation, Feedlot Tour, Ultrasound Demonstration, Beef Carcass Grading, Beef Carcass Fabrication, Fabrication of Retail Cuts, Sensory Factors for Consumer Beef Satisfaction, Selection and Genetic Tools for Quality Beef Production, Buying and Selling Cattle on a Grid, and Animal Welfare Issues in the Beef Industry.

Sponsorship: There is no charge for this program. It is sponsored by the Texas Beef Council.
Program Presenters: The program is conducted by the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Texas Tech University.
Accommodations: Each participant is responsible for their own accommodations. A block of rooms is available at the Arbor Inn and Suites.
