About the Texas Tech Sorghum Research Initiative

The Texas Tech Sorghum Research Initiative is a program driven to provide the most up-to-date research information for the sorghum industry and related fields. The TTSRI encompasses many aspects of sorghum research and satisfies Texas Tech's responsibilities as a part of the Great Plains Sorghum Improvement and Utilization Initiative. Researchers at Texas Tech are working in conjunction with Kansas State University (lead entity for the initiative) and Texas A&M University to improve the future of sorghum. Specifically, Texas Tech researchers are focusing on increasing profitability across all facets of the U.S. sorghum industry by developing educational programs for sorghum. This site serves as a centralized location for researchers and producers to find the information they need concerning all aspects of sorghum production and utilization. Current and archived research is provided by organizations and individuals from across the nation.
