Doctoral Student, Agricultural Communications
Chelsey started at Texas Tech University in 2011 as a doctorate student in agricultural communications. She was selected to receive a Graduate School Fellowship and assists Dr. Erica Irlbeck and Dr. Courtney Meyers with research and teaching projects. Along with her duties as a graduate assistant, she works for the Marsha Sharp Center for Student Athletes as a tutor here at Texas Tech.
Chelsey has a passion for livestock and grew up raising and showing Registered Gray Brahman cattle, market lambs and market hogs. She worked for the Arkansas State Fair as a livestock intern throughout her undergraduate career and was later hired as the marketing director.
Chelsey is a native of Arkansas and received her B.S. in animal science from the University of Arkansas. She also earned a Master in Agricultural Leadership degree from The University of Georgia.
Chelsey enjoys spending time with her Miniature Australian Shepherd dog, Shooter, spending time with friends and family, reading and being crafty.
