Christy Witt
Doctoral Student, Agricultural Education
Mrs. Witt started at Texas Tech University in 2009 as a doctoral student in agricultural education. She is a recipient of the 2009 TTU Doctoral Fellowship Initiative. She is currently working as part of “The Educational Effectiveness of Utilizing Second Life (SL) in Teaching Graduate-level Agricultural Crisis Communications” Project in association with the University of Arkansas and Texas A&M University.
Mrs. Witt earned her B.S. in agricultural education from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she was named 2004 CAFNR Outstanding Junior and received the 2005 Mizzou ’39 Outstanding Senior Award. In 2008, she earned her M.Ed. in gifted education from Drury University.
Mrs. Witt taught middle school science, math, and gifted at Pierce City Middle School in southwest Missouri for the past 4 years before starting at Texas Tech. She now resides in Lubbock with her husband, Phil, and their basset hound, Delmar.
