Staff Responsibilities

As Coordinator of Scholarships, Cindy McCullough oversees the scholarship awarding process for the college including entering freshmen, entering transfer and currently enrolled students from application submission to the awarding process, and supports the Davis College Scholarships and Awards committee members in carrying out the guidelines they set. She provides support for Dr. Cindy Akers, Associate Dean for Academic and Student Programs in any regional, state or national position that she may be elected to. She also coordinates all correspondence between the Associate Dean for Academic and Student Programs, administration, other colleges at Texas Tech, six departments in the College, state and national offices and many outside sources. McCullough is Co-Advisor for the Student Agricultural Council. Additionally, she coordinates and plans both the Dean's Scholars Scholarship Reception and the Davis College Ag Honors Banquet. Before holding the position of Coordinator of Scholarships, she was Coordinator of College Relations for Davis College and worked in the Provost Office as Administrative Assistant and in the Department of Animal and Food Sciences.

The Dr. Bill Bennett Student Success Center is named for long-time member of the Department of Plant and Soil Science's emeritus faculty Bill Bennett. Bennett, who served as Davis College's interim dean during the late 1970s, spearheaded the creation of the college's Ambassadors for Agriculture and Agri-Techsans programs.
