The Marvin J. and Gladys Dvoracek Scholarship Endowment was established by former
students and friends of Marvin Dvoracek in 1994. The scholarship is awarded to sophomores
and juniors who are majoring in any department of the Davis College of Agricultural
Sciences & Natural Resources or Environment or Civil Engineering. Preference is given
to students who express an interest in the engineering aspects of agriculture and
have an agricultural background. Scholarship will be alternated between Colleges unless
recipient is renewing.
The scholarship was established upon Mr. Dvoracek's retirement from Texas Tech University.
He was a professor in the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources
and the College of Engineering beginning in the early 1960's for a total of 32 years.
