Arch G. and Mina Lamb Scholarship

The Arch G. and Mina Lamb Scholarship was established in 1989 by the Arch and Mina Lamb family. This scholarship is awarded to students majoring in Food Technology who show financial need.

Mr. Arch G. Lamb graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Dairy Management in 1939. While a student, Mr. Lamb participated in Student Government, the Agricultural Economics Association, Saddle Tramps, and was recognized by the Who"s Who Among Students Association. He was also the Masked Rider.

Dr. Mina Lamb graduated from Texas Tech University with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry in 1932 and a Master of Science in Food & Nutrition in 1937. She continued on to receive her Ph.D. in Business & Merchandising from Columbia University in 1942. Dr. Mina Lamb was a member of the American Home Economics Association, Phi Kappa Phi Honors Society, Pre-Medical Society, and Phi Upsilon Omicron Sorority while at Texas Tech University. She then returned to Texas Tech University after attending Columbia University to be a Professor of Home Economics.

Arch and Mina have one son, Arch K. Lamb who graduated from Texas Tech University in 1973 with a degree in Agricultural Economics. Arch K. Lamb is married to Alyse Lamb and they have two children, Chris and Kathryn, and reside in Snellville, GA.
