The Clifton Kyle Beights Memorial Scholarship was established by Terri and Ricky Beights
in 2008. Scholarship is awarded with preference to a student majoring in the Davis
College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources. Student must demonstrate leadership
and involvement in campus and/or community organizations. Scholarship is to be awarded
to a different student each year.
Clifton was a student at Texas Tech University who was killed in an accident on a
ranch. He was pursuing a degree in Russian, as well as, taking classes in the College
of Agricultural Sciences and Rawls College of Business Administration. He had a strong
desire to learn and was involved in FarmHouse Fraternity, Student Government Association,
and made excellent grades.
