The Clayton Fund Scholarship Endowment was established by The Clayton Fund of Houston,
Texas in 1987. These scholarships are available to students majoring in the Davis
College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources.
The Clayton Fund was established by a family trust in 1952 for aid to the needy, especially
children, the environment, family planning, education, agriculture, and arts and culture.
The Clayton Fund Board is extremely environmentally conscious. They support environmental
projects, planned parenthood, and disaster relief. The original members' priorities
were along those lines, and the new members feel even more strongly about those issues.
