Fern Lee “Missy” Finck Endowment for Graduate Fellowships

Missy Finck

The Fern Lee "Missy" Finck Endowment for Graduate Fellowships was established by the Texas Tech Foundation and the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources in 2011 to fund graduate and doctoral fellowships within the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources. Their work should be furthering research in soil and water sustainability for agricultural land and include land treatment practices, production practices, management measures, technologies, or any combination of these areas.

Ms. Fern "Missy" Finck received a BS in Horticulture from Texas Tech University in 1971. She established the Fern Lee "Missy" Finck Graduate Fellowship Endowment and the Dana Clair Edwards Memorial Scholarship Endowment.

Missy is a member of the Texas Tech Foundation Board, Matador Society, Spur Society, and is at the Member Level of Chancellor's Council. While a student, she participated in the Horticulture Society and Rodeo Association. Missy is the Owner of Rocking Chair Ranch, Las Enchinas Ranch, and Finck Properties. She is an Advisor for the Board of Directors of the San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet and is involved with organizations throughout the San Antonio community, including the San Antonio Zoological Society, San Antonio Botanical Society, San Antonio Battle of Flowers Association, San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Humane Society of Bexar County/SPCA, San Antonio Conservation Society, Witte Museum, Los Compadres de San Antonio Missions National Historical Park, and the Kendalia Volunteer Fire Department. Missy resides in Kendalia, TX.
