Glyneth Knight Endowed Scholarship

The Glyneth Knight Scholarship Endowment was established in 2014 by the Glyneth A. Knight Trust to provide scholarships to students in the Davis College of Agricultural Sciences & Natural Resources.

Glyneth Armstrong Knight, of Lubbock died on Sunday March 4, 2012. She was born July 26, 1929 to Elza and Zelma Louise Kidd Armstrong in Spur, TX. and was a Lubbock resident since 1947. She grew up in and married William Knight June 15, 1957, in the Lubbock landmark home known as Tara.

She attended Mary Hardin Baylor College, graduated from Texas Tech University with bachelor's degree in English in 1950 and earned a master's in Library Science from the University of Denver in 1956. She was the librarian at Atkins Jr. High for 30 years.

She was a faithful member of First Christian Church and was also a member of the Lubbock Women's Club, National Teachers Association, Texas Retired Teachers Association and the Lubbock Club.
