J. L. and Audine Newsom Chancellor’s Council Endowed Scholarship

The J. L. and Audine Newsom Chancellor's Council Scholarship Endowment was established in 2005 by the J.L. Newsom Estate Trust to provide scholarships for students in a field of study related to economically viable uses for the land.

James Luther Newsom (J.L.) passed away in 1991 at the age of 78. Audine Newsom passed away on December 19, 2018 at the age of 103. They were preceded in death by their son James Floyd Newsom.

They were survived by their daughters, Donna Newsom Ridgway and Barbara Newsom Paddack (Michael); her grandchildren, Susan Ridgway Esposito (Raymond), Sharon Ridgway Mankin (Dwight), Laura Paddack Childs (Andrew) and Jay Paddack (Angela); her great grandchildren, Blake Mankin (Meagan), Emily Mankin Baxter (William), Austin Mankin (Kirby), Amy, Eric Esposito, Ryan, Claire Childs and Benjamin Paddack; and her great great grandchildren, Rivers and Baker Mankin.
