South Plains Irrigation Association Endowed Scholarship
The South Plains Irrigation Association Scholarship Endowment was established by South
Plains Irrigation Association in 2010. Funds are awarded to promising juniors, seniors,
or graduate level student enrolled in the College of agricultural Sciences and Natural
Resources in pursuit of a Bachelor or Master of Science in Horticultural and Turfgrass
Sciences, or a Bachelor or Master of Landscape Architecture.
The South Plains Irrigation Association is a group of licensed irrigators and others
involved in the landscape irrigation industry in the Lubbock area. Its purpose is
to inform its members about new developments in landscape irrigation, promote high
standards and ethical conduct in the landscape irrigation industry and to educate
the public about proper irrigation practices.
