The Texas Tech Entomology Scholarship Endowment was established in 1969 at the demand
of several of the outstanding graduates of the Entomology section of the then Department
of Park Administration, Horticulture and Entomology. These graduates wanted to acknowledge
their appreciation for the section's contribution to their success in their chosen
field. The scholarship is designed to honor an outstanding junior or senior entomology
major that has a minimum GPA of 2.5 and has shown promise in upholding the standards
of the profession, shows good citizenship and actively supports clubs and organizations
within the department. Financial need is also a consideration.
