In August 2000, 20 Texans were admitted into a doctoral program in Agricultural Education designed for distance delivery. This was the first distance delivered doctoral program ever approved by the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board. This pioneering program represents a true partnership between Texas Tech University and Texas A&M University. The diplomas that these graduates received during commencement exercises in August 2004, included the seals of both institutions. The graduates’ hoods included the colors of maroon, white, red, and black. The August graduates included: (1) Dr. Susie Bullock, Lubbock; (2) Dr. Ruben Saldana, El Paso; (3) Dr. Marlin Priddy, Stephenville; (4) Dr. Montza Williams, Overton; (5) Dr. Michael Womack, Corpus Christi; (6) Dr. Rebecca Parker, Sanger; and (7) Dr. Darlene Locke, Corpus Christi.

8" X 8.5" paperback, black and white images, drawings and diagrams, 88 pg.
Extensive use of photographs, LM and SEM images, and drawings provide the basis for concise explanations of the development of cotton plants and the structure and development of cotton fibers. This same illustrated approach is used to explain the major phases of cotton processing: Harvesting, Ginning, Fiber Evaluation, and Yarn and Fabric Formation.
