Equestrian Team
Purpose: To promote and compete in intercollegiate horse shows through the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA). Riders compete in Hunt Seat Equitation over Fences and on the Flat, Western Horsemanship, and Reining. The Equestrian Team offers students the opportunity to compete on a team in a sport that has traditionally been an individual contest. Riders hone their horsemanship and equitation aboard different mounts, truly becoming better horsewomen.
Activities: Organized/official team practice at the Texas Tech Equestrian Center, attend regular season IHSA sanctioned horse shows, IHSA Post Season Championships at the Regional, Zone, and National level.
