Plant Judging Team

Purpose:  To teach students how to identify and judge horticultural commodities.

Activities:  Students participate in regional and national plant judging contests held across the country.

Ranch Horse Team

Purpose:  The Texas Tech Ranch Horse Team is composed of 27 members, 17 of which travel the country competing with their horses.

Range Plant ID and Range Management Team

Purpose:  Promote the involvement and professional development of students interested in range management

Activities:  Represent TTU and state and international range management meetings

Purpose:  To teach students how to judge and class different soils

Activities:  Students participate in regional and national soil judging contests held across the country

Wildlife Quizbowl Team

Purpose:  To promote academic development of students interested in wildlife management

Activities:  Represent TTU at state, regional, and national wildlife meetings

Wool Judging Team

Purpose:  To teach students to evaluate wool and improve oral communication skills

Activities:  National Western Wool Judging Contest, San Antonio Livestock Exposition Wool Contest, Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo Wool Contest
