A life-long Red Raider, the decision to attend Texas Tech University was second nature to Lubbock native and junior, Randal Howard. A member of Alpha Gamma Rho and the Pre-Vet Society, Howard was first introduced to the Ag Council his freshman year. AFS’s Kim Cannon tapped for Texas Tech Masked Rider Distinguished Staff Award

A unit manager in Texas Tech University’s Department of Animal and Food Sciences has been selected to receive a Masked Rider Distinguished Staff Award. Kim Cannon, who oversees work on the department’s 250 accounts and manages a departmental budget of more than $4.9 million, received the honor during a special ceremony on Tuesday (Nov. 15) in the Red Raider Ballroom of Tech’s Student Union Building.  more »

CASNR students named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities

Eighteen outstanding students from Texas Tech University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources have been included in latest edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities,” according to school officials. CASNR Livestock Judging Team claims back-to-back national championships

The national championship of livestock judging is staying in Lubbock. On the strength of three top 10 individual finishes, the Texas Tech University Livestock Judging Team from the Department of Animal and Food Sciences claimed its second straight national title and ninth in program history Monday (Nov. 14) at the North American International Livestock Exposition (NAILE) in Louisville, Kentucky.  more »
