Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources hosted a Spring Career Expo on Thursday (Feb. 5) in the university’s newly renovated Red Raider Ballroom of Tech’s Student Union Building. This year’s expo featured company representatives from some 25 businesses who were on hand to meet and schedule CASNR students for potential interviews. Among the ag leaders were Cactus Feeders, Capital Farm Credit, Cargill, and Texas Parks and Wildlife.  more »

Judging teams open Spring with strong showing at Denver’s National Western

The Texas Tech University meat, wool and livestock judging teams opened the 2015 spring season with strong results last weekend at the National Western Stock Show. All three teams from the Department of Animal and Food Sciences in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources got off to good starts. The meat and wool judging teams won their respective events, while the livestock team finished fourth.  more »
