Twenty-seven CASNR students honored as Dean’s Scholars Award winners

Top academic standouts from Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were recognized as Dean’s Scholars on Wednesday (Jan. 27) at a special ceremony held in the Student Union Building’s Matador Room. GALLERY: CASNR competitive teams greet Texas Agriculture Commissioner

Texas Agriculture Commissioner, Sid Miller, dropped by Texas Tech’s Department of Animal and Food Sciences on Wednesday (Jan. 20) to meet members of the department’s championship judging and competitive teams in the atrium of the AFS building. More than 50 team members and coaches from Tech’s award-winning livestock judging team, meat judging team, wool judging team, ranch horse team and rodeo team were on hand to introduce themselves to the commissioner. Miller, a native of De Leon, is well known across the state as an avid rodeo and horseshow participant who holds nine World Championships.  more »

Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources will host a Spring Career Expo from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Wednesday (Feb. 24) in the Red Raider Ballroom of Tech’s Student Union Building.
