CASNR students named to Who’s Who Among Students in American Universities

Eighteen outstanding students from Texas Tech University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources have been included in latest edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities,” according to school officials. Texas Tech University officials reported today (Sept. 29) another enrollment record with 36,551 students for the fall semester. Enrollment has climbed each year since 2009, on track to reach the goal of 40,000 students by 2020 as set out in the university’s strategic plan.  more »

The director of development and external relations for Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources has been selected to receive the Association of Fundraising Professionals-Lubbock Area Chapter’s ‘Outstanding Fundraising Professional Award.’ Jane Piercy will be presented the honor on Thursday (Nov. 17) at the 21st Annual National Philanthropy Day Awards Luncheon at the Overton Hotel in Lubbock.  more »

New additions arrive in CASNR’s Dr. Bill Bennett Student Success Center

Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resource is in the process of revamping the staff of its Student Success Center, a group of professionals in the Dean’s Office charged with recruiting and retaining the best students for the college. In addition, plans are underway to increase efficiency of the group’s services, following a thorough review led by Cindy Akers, CASNR’s Associate Dean for Academic and Student Programs.  more »
