CASNR set to launch new Senator Robert Duncan Scholarship Endowment

Texas Tech University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources announced today (Oct. 22) the establishment of the Senator Robert Duncan Texas Legislative Internship Endowed Scholarship. Created by the Tech agricultural economics alumnus and newly appointed Chancellor of the Texas Tech University System, funds generated by the endowment will be used to give scholarships to students participating in the long-running CASNR government internship program. Specifically, recipients of this scholarship will intern for Texas’ 28th Senatorial District.  more »

GALLERY: 53rd Annual Homecoming Breakfast highlights annual celebration

Friends and colleagues from across the Texas Tech campus were on hand today (Oct. 18) for the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources’ 53rd Annual Homecoming Breakfast. Held in the newly renovated Red Raider Ballroom of Tech’s Student Union Building, the Saturday morning event drew more than 250 participants. Later that day Davis Webb threw for 288 yards and three touchdowns to lead Texas Tech to a 34-21 win over Kansas.  more »

Longtime supporters of Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Dan and Linda Taylor have been selected to receive the Texas Agricultural Lifetime Leadership (TALL) Alumni Association South Plains Agriculture Leadership Award. Texas Tech enrollment shatters previous numbers; CASNR contributes 1,958

Texas Tech University officials report record enrollment figures for the sixth-straight year as 35,134 students are in fall classes. The difference of 2,023 students from fall 2013 represents the third-largest increase in a single year since the university opened its doors in 1925.  more »
