Four standout students from Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources have been selected to receive prestigious Terry Foundation Scholarships, university officials announced today. Selected from a highly competitive applicant pool of incoming freshmen and transfer students who have demonstrate exceptional leadership, character, financial need and scholastic ability, the foundation provides four-year scholarships.  more »

Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resource is in the process of completing an overhaul of its Student Success Center, a group of professionals in the Dean’s Office charged with recruiting and retaining the best students for the college. Expect minimal impact from recent Chinese cotton reserve policy changes

An analysis of a recent price decline in China’s reserve cotton finds that the dip will have minor impacts on China’s cotton production, consumption, ending stocks and imports, according to a study led by Texas Tech University agricultural researchers. Meantime, the impacts on the U.S. cotton market are likely to be negligible.  more »
