For The Record; CASNR Students named to 2013 Who’s Who Among Students

Ten outstanding students from Texas Tech University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources have been included in latest edition of “Who’s Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities,” according to school officials today. The university will host a special ‘2013 Who’s Who Recognition Reception’ at 2 p.m. on Sunday (Nov. 10) at the university’s Merket Alumni Center in Lubbock.  more »

While not exactly like a scene out of Night at the Museum, Sarah Gorney, a senior in Texas Tech’s Department of Landscape Architecture spent 12 weeks as the Smithsonian Gardens Landscape Architecture Intern in Washington, D.C. this summer. Vacation Village; LA trio designs resort, residential plan in Dominican Republic

One of the most visited islands in the Caribbean, the Dominican Republic, was home base for a select group of students from Texas Tech’s Department of Landscape Architecture this year. The three weren’t there for the sun and sand; they were there to work up a master design plan for a Boca De Yuma private developer called the ‘Yuma Bay Vacation Village.’  more »

A long-time associate professor and noted landscape architect has been named the new interim chair of Texas Tech University’s Department of Landscape Architecture, according to officials with the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resource.
