Simek named PSS greenhouse complex manager

Tech horticulture judging team clinches 2nd place in Orlando

image image Texas Tech’s horticulture judging team surged to a second place overall finish on Sunday (Feb. 7) at the annual meeting of the American Society for Horticultural Science-Southern Region in Orlando. The four-member Red Raider team competed in the association of collegiate branches’ competition for plant identification and judging.  more »


Texas Tech to host national collegiate soil judging contest

image imageTexas Tech’s Department of Plant and Soil Science is hosting the National Collegiate Soil Judging Contest on March 21-26 here on the South Plains. Participants, in this the 50th annual gathering of the grueling undergraduate contest, spend days describing, classifying and interpreting soils and landscapes on their way to becoming national champions.  more »
