Feature-length Film; AEC graduate Brad Bellah stars in agricultural documentary

A 2009 graduate of Texas Tech University’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources is featured this summer is a new documentary film that focuses on current agriculture issues. Brad Bellah, an agricultural communications major and sixth generation cattle rancher, runs beef cattle operations in Texas and Colorado, including a natural beef herd. The 26-year-old from Throckmorton is also a husband and father of twins.  more »

A distinguished alum from Texas Tech’s Department of Agricultural and Applied Economics has been named the sole finalist to be Texas Tech University System’s next chancellor. State Sen. Robert Duncan (R-Lubbock) is expected to start in his new position on July 1.  more »

Expansion, renovation; CASNR breaks ground on Bayer Plant Science Building

Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources today (Apr. 29) broke ground on an $13.6 million expansion and renovation of what will be known as the ‘Bayer Plant Science Building.’ The project adds 21,122 square feet of new construction, and includes 2,440 square feet of renovation and exterior upgrades to the existing home of the university’s Department of  Plant and Soil Science.  more »

Department of Animal and Food Sciences utilizes new iCEV teaching technology

A new program developed by a former Texas Tech professor is currently being implemented for various courses within the Department of Animal and Food Sciences at Texas Tech University. CEV Multimedia, founded by Gordon W. Davis, recently released iCEV, an online product for educators and students at both the high school and college levels.  more »

Linda and Terry Fuller Masked Rider Scholarship Endowment launches

A new scholarship for Texas Tech’s iconic Masked Rider, one of the most recognizable college mascots in the country, has been established, officials with the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources announced today (Dec. 13). The “Linda and Terry Fuller Masked Rider Scholarship Endowment” will be matched with funds from the Talkington Foundation’s Scholarship Matching Funds program.  more »
