Led by a strong riding in the barrel racing events, Texas Tech’s women’s rodeo team rolled to a third place finish over the weekend at the Sul Ross State University rodeo in Alpine. Held at the Turner Range Animal Science Center’s S.A.L.E. Arena, the meeting was the Red Raiders second Southwest Region National Intercollegiate Rodeo Association event of the season. more »
Nationally recognized plant breeder Stan Cox shed light on the daunting challenge of breeding perennial grain crops as part of a new Texas Tech’s Department of Plant and Soil Science Distinguished Lecture Series launched this semester. Texas Tech’s rodeo teams kicked off their fall season with a strong showing over the weekend at the Eastern New Mexico University ‘College Daze Rodeo’ at the Lewis Cooper Arena in Portales, NM.
