Playa Lakes Joint Venture
Scientists have long known that playas are the primary source of recharge for the Ogallala Aquifer. But just how much water is recharging through playas is still a mystery. Now, researchers at Texas Tech University, led by Dr. Loren Smith, are setting out to try and answer that question in a new study.
