Starkey joins Animal and Food Sciences faculty

image image Jessica Starkey has been named an assistant professor of meat and muscle biology in Texas Tech University’s Department of Animal and Food Sciences, according to officials with the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources. Travelling ecology class set to cross Southwestern states

Wool judging team shines at National Western Stock Show

image image Texas Tech University’s Wool Judging Team took champion and reserve champion honors Jan. 17 at the National Western Stock Show in Denver. Texas Tech narrowly defeated the competition; winning by two points to claim the Denver competition for the first time since 1986. (more…)

 

Meat judging team dominates National Western Stock Show

image imageTexas Tech University’s meat judging team placed first on Jan. 19 at the National Western Stock Show in Denver, winning by an 80-point margin. The National Western officially began in 1906 and is one of the nation’s oldest and largest shows. (more…)

 

CASNR career expo set for Feb. 11 at Frazier Alumni Pavilion

image imageTexas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources will host its annual Spring Career Expo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 11 at the Frazier Alumni Pavilion.
