Texas Tech University’s Wool Judging (Red) Team ended their season with a third-place finish last week at the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo. Eight teams competed in the high-profile annual contest, including squads from Texas A&M, Kansas State and New Mexico State. (more…)

Fresh off victories earlier this season at West Texas A&M, North Central Texas College, and Louisiana State University, Texas Tech University’s equestrian team has now added to its 2008-2009 season accolades by earning championship titles at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association Zone 7, Region 2 Hunt Seat and Western Regional Championships. Enusha Karunasena has been named a research assistant professor in Texas Tech University’s Department of Animal and Food Sciences. The Austin native had previously served as a senior research associate in the laboratory of Mindy Brashears, director of Tech’s nationally-recognized International Center for Food Industry Excellence.
