For landscape architect Alice McLarty there are no routine jobs among her daily duties; not when the names of her projects are synonymous with some of the nation’s most important treasures. Over the past 20 years the ’87 graduate of Texas Tech’s Department of Landscape Architecture can list the Lincoln Memorial Reflecting Pool, DC War Memorial and the Mall Grounds among her work sites. Dozens of outstanding students, staff and faculty from across Texas Tech’s College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources were honored Friday (Apr. 27) at its annual Honors Banquet at the Merket Alumni Center in Lubbock. Sponsored by the Ag Council, the event featured a variety of honors, including the selection of Loni Woolley, a senior from Grandview, as the college’s outstanding student. (more…)

Outstanding student academic and extracurricular performance was in the spotlight Saturday (April 14) during the Texas Tech Department of Animal and Food Sciences’ Spring Awards Banquet at the McKenzie-Merket Alumni Center.
