Grower Information Services Cooperative

Grower Information Services Cooperative (GiSC) ( is seeking part-time Recruitment Associates with a passion for agriculture to support with growing its membership base. GiSC is a newly formed cooperative representing growers’ rights around the topic of data and information and has a national membership base spanning 24 states. Recruitment Associates will have the unique opportunity to support an industry changing initiative and gain valuable work experience in a start-up and entrepreneurial environment. Successful performance in this role may lead to follow-on opportunities including internships or full-time employment.

Desired qualifications include:

  • Strong and convincing verbal communication skills
  • Results driven and self-motivated
  • Professionalism in dealing with uninterested growers
  • Experience working in the agriculture industry and with growers

Primary responsibilities will be:

  • Making outbound telephone calls to growers to briefly introduce GiSC and request information
  • Documenting output of telephone conversations
  • Tracking and following up with growers who were unavailable at first attempted contact
  • Providing feedback on ways to improve outbound calling process

Employment Period: March 31 – May 2 (5 weeks)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00-9:30am and/or 5:00-7:30pm

Compensation: $10/hour + commission + transportation reimbursement
